The award assignment was based on the very positive evaluation obtained by the paper during the review process and because the first author is under 35 years old. It was received on Nov. 3, 2011, at the banquet of the 9th IEEE Int. Symposium on Safety, Security, and Rescue Robotics (SSRR’2011), which was held in Kyoto, Japan.
